Trinity Lutheran Church, Des Moines - Braille Bibles

Pictured at Trinity Lutheran Church, Des Moines, is Terri Wilcox reading to the Adult Sunday School Class from new Braille Bibles.  In addition to this, Terri often reads the lessons of the day from the lectern.  She is an accomplished soloist in the church choir.

It is a thrill to have such a talented member at Trinity as she came to Des Moines about two years ago to teach Braille at the Iowa Department for the Blind.  Terri's spouse Nick also pictured is the office manager at Trinity.  Terri and Nick previously were members at St. Paul Lutheran, Ann Arbor, Michigan.

Pastor William Weiss leads the Adult Bible Class.

150th Anniversary Celebration for Trinity

The week of October2-9, 2016, was a big week for Trinity Lutheran Church in Boone. We celebrated the 150th Anniversary of our church. The theme chosen for the occasion was “Grow Strong in His Truth,” taken from Colossians 2:7. Our organist Angela Pratt wrote a special hymn entitled “Grow Strong in the Lord.” We had many guest pastors take part in our celebration services, including two sons of the congregation and four former pastors. Our District President Dr. Turner led the sermon on October 9th. We had several of our choirs participate in our services, also, which include our Adult Choir, Day-School Choirs, Sunday School Choir, our Bell Choir, and a Brass Ensemble. They did an outstanding job performing. We had an attendance of approximately 700 people over the course of the week. We would like to thank all who participated and helped our Celebration be the success it was! We look forward to many more years here at Trinity Boone.
